Amidst Jawan release, Sameer Wankhede scores a win in the 25 crore bribery case involving Shah Rukh Khan’ son Aryan Khan | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

In 2021, Shah Rukh Khan‘s son Aryan Khan landed in big trouble in the Cordelia drugs bust case for alleged possession, consumption, and buying and selling of drugs, but Aryan was later given a clean chit by the NCB’s special investigation team (SIT). Former Zonal Director of NCB Sameer Wankhede, among others, were later booked under charges of criminal conspiracy and extortion threats under the Indian Penal Code.

However, in a big win for Wankede, The Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) in their order have reportedly stated that NCB Deputy Director General Gyaneshwar Singh could not have been part of the special enquiry team (SET) set up to probe alleged procedural lapses by former Zonal Director of NCB Sameer Wankhede as he was the one who gave instructions to him in the investigation of the Cordelia cruise drugs case involving Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan.
The CAT, however, took note of the contention of the NCB that the SET report was preliminary in nature and that an independent decision would be taken by the Union government and NCB regarding action to be taken against Wankhede. A division bench of justices was hearing Wankhede’s petition seeking to quash a case of extortion and bribery registered against him by the CBI as per the findings of the SET headed by Gyaneshwar Singh. As per the case, Wankhede and four others had demanded Rs 25 crore bribe from actor Shah Rukh Khan for not framing his son Aryan following the alleged seizure of drugs from Cordelia cruise ship in 2021.

In other news, Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan‘ is all set to release tomorrow. And amid the strong buzz, SRK’s dialogue ‘Bete ko haath lagane se pehle, baap se baat kar’ has got fans wondering and drawing parallels between SRK’s reel and Aryan Khan’s case.
Soon after the dialogue went viral on social media, fans speculated that it was directed at Sameer Wankhede.
Now, the former NCB officer has shared a cryptic quote by Nicole Lyons on his official social media account. “I have licked the fire and danced in the ashes of every bridge I ever burned. I fear no hell from you,” read the quote shared by Sameer Wankhede.

Talking about the film, Jawan releases worldwide in theatres on September 7, 2023, in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages. It also stars Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, Sanya Malhotra and Priyamani.
