Ajay Devgn is one of the most formidable actors in the business having worked in the industry for nearly 3 decades now. He is now all set to bring the next generation of his family into the movies. His nephew Danish Devgn, recently joined the industry as he turned director for a music video Hanju which featured Priyank Sharma and Ishitaa Raaj, the song is sung by Javed Ali with music by Sacchin and Ashu.
Not many are aware that Danish has been part of the industry ever since he turned one. He said, “I was literally thrown on to the sets, so I have been going on to sets since I was one. In fact when I was in my sixth grade, I was put on the edit team of U Me Aur Hum which was produced and directed by my uncle Ajay Devgn, so I learnt editing there.”
Adding more he said, “Back then, I had a Sony Ericsson and I would shoot anything and everything that I found aesthetic. And during college time we had a VFX company called NY VFXWAALA where I was working on VFX for Bajirao Mastani.”
Danish also revealed that the first film he ever assisted on was Kajol’s Helicopter Eela where he got a chance to be part of Pradeep Sarkar’s team. He also shared that he had made a pact with his aunt Kajol, sharing his experience of working with her. He said, “ She is super fun and energetic with everyone on the sets. But since it was my first film I was very nervous. Kajol and I had made a pact that we would be very professional and she would not treat me like her baby, as everyone at home treats me like me, since I’m the first child of the family. So I would do everything on the sets from getting water and chairs for people to writing continuity etc.”
