An aide of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) leader MK Alagiri was attacked by a group of unknown people in a restaurant in Bengaluru on Monday, police said.
The victim, VK Guruswamy Murthy, is an alleged gangster from Tamil Nadu’s Madurai. He was in Bengaluru to discuss a property litigation matter with a broker.
He arrived by flight on Sunday and reserved a room in a hotel in Bengaluru.
When Murthy was discussing the property with a broker at a restaurant in Kammanahalli, a group of people arrived in a Tamil Nadu-registered vehicle and attacked him in the restaurant, police said.
He was rushed to a hospital following the attack.
