Sunny Deol starrer ‘Gadar 2‘ is now in its sixth week and the film has roared at the box office and how! By the end of its week 6, the film has emerged as the highest nett grosser of all times. Though, it is expected that ‘Jawan‘ will break that record in the coming weeks.
However, despite the fact that ‘Gadar 2’ faced competition from ‘Jawan’, it has managed to have the highest nett collections by the end of this week.As per boxofficeindia.com, ‘Gadar 2’ has made Rs 513 crore nett and beaten the numbers of ‘Baahubali – The Conclusion’ and ‘Pathaan’. Just the week 6 collection of the movie is around 2.75 crore. Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Jawan’ will beat its collections but yet, ‘Gadar 2’ will be the biggest hit of the year and it is likely to remain so till the end of the year, unless a big surprise springs in.
As far as individual circuits are concerned, it has set record in areas like Delhi, UP, East Punjab, Rajasthan and Bihar. But due to the release of ‘Jawan’, the numbers of ‘Gadar 2’ have fallen short in comparison to ‘Baahubali’, as the collections went down post September 7.
Meanwhile, ‘Jawan’ had an extra-ordinary second week as it made around Rs 120 crore and the total collection so far, now stands at Rs 460 crore. The film directed by Atlee continues to have a steady hold at the box office and that is expected in the coming weeks as well.
