Talking about his experience of working with Kareena, Vijay recently told Film Companion in an interview that Kareena is also known for her ability to switch off and on as an actor. When conversing with the actress, he preferred to discuss food because it’s a shared favorite subject.Vijay also went on to add that they would engage in a conversation about food, and when director Sujoy informed them that the shot was ready, Kareena would immediately transition into the scene.Vijay also noted that there was a subtle change in Kareena’s demeanor and was greatly impressed by its effectiveness. Vijay admitted that he had difficulty sleeping that night because he witnessed how Kareena Kapoor Khan could light up the entire room with just a minor shift in her demeanor and her eyes, finding it beautiful to watch.
In another interview, Vijay shared that both Jaideep and he used to get shy when she spoke highly about them at promotional interviews. According to him, they have seen her films, blown whistles, and have been enamoured by her. And when she likes your work, it is a bit embarrassing but one does enjoy the compliments.
Vijay, who had some romantic scenes with Kareena in the film, said they were nerve wracking for him. Vijay revealed that there’s a scene where Kareena is looking at him in a certain way and she’s singing and when that scene came, he turned into a bundle of nerves.
The mystery thriller is an adaptation of the Japanese novel The Devotion of Suspect X by Keigo Higashino.
