According to a report in TMZ, Joe has filed a petition that stated that the marriage between the parties is ‘irretrievably broken’. Joe has also asked for joint custody of their kids. The report also added that Joe and Sophie have a prenup, something Joe also addresses in his divorce docs.
Joe reportedly wanted the court to help establish a parenting plan for Joe and Sophie that could help the now-exes frequent and continuing contact with both parties.
Joe has also stated that he will take his daughters on tour with him when they are with him and has put forward the issue of child support.
According to the publication, their lifestyle isn’t the same which is causing a friction between the two. Sophie likes to party while Joe likes to stay at home. They have very different lifestyles.
After reports of their alleged divorce started doing the rounds in the media, Joe was spotted without his marriage ring which further fuelled the rumours. However, Joe shut the rumours by sporting his ring in new photos from his latest Jonas Brothers concert.
Joe and Sophie started dating each other in 2016 and got married in 2019 in Las Vegas. The couple has always kept their relationship away from the spotlight. In an interview with a new sportal in 2022, Joe said that he wants to feel like an open book. However, after he started dating Sophie, he realised that he didn’t have a ton of stuff that was for him. And in the end, it makes him a better person to have something for himself.
