Kareena Kapoor Khan’s ‘The Buckingham Murders’ will premier at BFI London Film Festival, Ekta Kapoor calls her ‘an actor par excellence’ | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Kareena Kapoor Khan is gearing up for her OTT debut with ‘Jaane Jaan‘ directed by Sujoy Ghosh. The film sees her alongside Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat. Clearly then, Kareena is trying to re-invent herself despite being in the industry for over 23 years now. But that’s not all. She will be seen in a never-seen-before avatar even in Hansal Mehta‘s ‘The Buckingham Murders’.Kareena took to social media to announce that the film is premiering at the BFILondon Film Festival.
The actress is also making her debut as a producer with this one. She co-produces the film with Ekta Kapoor. Kareena wrote, “‘The Buckingham Murders’ a journey that @hansalmehta, @ektarkapoor and I took, is premiering at the 67th BFI London Film Festival. It is an atmospheric thriller, that explores themes of loss, closure and the immigrant experience. What makes this moment even more special is that it’s one of the three films from India that made it to the festival! 🥹❤️ If you happen to be in the UK, we hope you can watch it, it’s being shown at the Curzon Mayfair on 14th and 15th October. 🎥 ✨”

The film has also been shot in London. As Kareena shared this news, Ekta commented on Kareena’s post and lauded her performance as something she’s never experienced before. Ekta said, “I have never felt grief n gutted by any performance ever !! Waiting for the world to see u ❤️ @kareenakapoorkhan.” She also wrote, “An actor par excellence.”
Apart from this film, Kareena is collaborating with Ekta for ‘The Crew’ which she’s co-producing with Rhea Kapoor. The film also stars Tabu and Kriti Sanon.
