The announcement has been receiving mixed reactions. While several fans reacted to the same on the social media, Shah Rukh is yet to react to Ranveer being roped in as the new Don.
Now, the actors were seen coming face to face recently at the Ganesh Chaturthicelebrations of the Ambanis’.Aviral video on the internet shows SRK and Ranveer giving each other a warm hug in public.

In addition to meeting SRK, Ranveer also exchanged greetings with his Cirkus co-star Pooja Hegde. In the video, Shah Rukh was observed extending his greetings to Deepika as well. Furthermore, the video proceeded to depict Ranveer and Shah Rukh joining the Ambani family for the Ganpati puja.
As soon as the video started doing rounds on social media, likes and comments poured in from all sides. While one fan wrote, ‘Ranveer is the best’, another one added, ‘Next superstar of the industry’. Others dropped red heart emojis on the post.
Last month, Farhan Akhtar took to Instagram and confirmed that Shah Rukh is not returning to the franchise. He added that Ranveer Singh will be replacing SRK as Don in Don 3. ‘The time has now come to take the legacy of Don forward and joining us in this new interpretation will be an actor whose talent and versatility I have long admired. We hope that you will show him the love you have so graciously and generously shown to Mr Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan. A new era of Don begins in 2025’.
After the announcement, Ranveer Singh turned to Instagram and vowed to make Shah Rukh and Amitabh proud. “I understand what a great responsibility it is to be a part of the ‘Don’ dynasty. I hope the audience gives me a chance and showers me with love, the way they have for numerous characters over the past so many years. Thank you Farhan and Ritesh for entrusting me with this honourable mantle and believing in me. I hope I can deliver on your faith and conviction.
