The euphoria for Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan is at its peak.The film is all set to hit the screens tomorrow, with shows starting as early as 6am in Mumbai. The advance booking for Jawan started a few days back and the response for the same has been phenomenal.
The massive sale of tickets has ensured that Jawan owns the title of the highest opener, in all languages.The actioner has sold out approximately 11 Lakhs advance tickets till now for day 1 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu and has overtaken the advance booking of Pathaan and Adipurush which stood at 1081091 (10.81 Lakhs) and 1074247 (10.74 Lakhs) tickets sold respectively, reports Sacnilk. With 11 lakh tickets sold for the opening day in all the languages without block seats, the advance booking figure of Jawan has crossed Rs 30 crore gross for day one.
Speaking about the movie, SRK had shared, “I met Atlee on the set of ‘Bigil’, I was in Chennai to support Chennai Super Kings. I met him there and he was showing me his film just out of love, and his wife Priya liked me a lot. So, one thing led to another, then Covid happened, and I was just sitting at home and he came to see me in Mumbai, and he said ‘I have a film’. I found it very interesting because the first thing he told me was, it was you sir, with five girls. And that’s my film, because both me and Priya think that you look the nicest, when you have a bunch of ladies with you in the film.So I asked him, ‘Lots of action? He said ‘Yeah’. Lots of high-speed shots, he said ‘Yeah’, I asked lots of dancing, good dialogues and he’s like ‘Yeah’. I’ll send five girls, and that was it, that’s how ‘Jawan’ started.”
