Jawan day is upon us and the film is all set to make about Rs 84 crore on day one and now all box office records seem too small for Shah Rukh Khan. The film had quite a few surprises lined up and the biggest one came in the song Zinda Banda.
It was the first song of the film that was released, but the film version is slightly different from the audio one that is available everywhere.The surprise factor of the song was a special appearance by director Atlee. Not many people knowAtlee so they were wondering who is the guy who gets a special chance to shake a leg with superstar Shah Rukh Khan. Atlee even wears similar clothes like SRK and matches him step by step in the number. Atlee ends his performance with a hug from King Khan.
As per a report by Bollywood Hungama Shah Rukh Khan and his team at Red Chillies Entertainment knew that Atlee is not known in the Hindi speaking markets and his presence might puzzle viewers as they might not recognize him. SRK could have got any Bollywood or even South superstar for that part. Yet, he chose to give Atlee the respect that he rightfully deserves.
This is not the first time that Atlee has featured on screen with his lead actor. In his last film, Bigil (2019), he appeared with Thalapathy Vijay, and also music composer A R Rahman in the song Singappenney.
In fact the film also has few hidden surprises, one being Sanjay Dutt who makes an appearance in the last 40 minutes of the film. He plays a cop who is tasked to negotiate with Shah Rukh Khan’s character. Also casting director Mukesh Chabbra makes an appearance in the film too, he plays a personal assistant to a corrupt politician in the film. In the Tamil version Yogi Babu, a much loved actor, will be seen essaying the role played by Chabbra.
