After getting a lot of love for his act in Nitesh Tiwari‘s ‘Bawaal’ with Janhvi Kapoor, Varun Dhawan will be seen next in a film tentatively called ‘VD 18’. The film will be a huge action entertainer produced by ‘Jawan‘ director Atlee and Murad Khetani. It is directed by Kalees. Varun has already begun shooting for this one.
While Atlee is elated with the success of ‘Jawan’, he has added reasons to celebrate as it was his birthday on September 21. Varun took to Instagram to wish him with an unseen picture. Atlee can be seen with Varun’s dog Joey. He shared the picture and he wrote, “Happy birthday @atlee sir. Please enjoy your much needed break now. Also Joey says happy birthday maccha’.
Varun had announced a while ago that ‘VD 18’ is set to release in May 2024. The film stars Wamiqa Gabbi and Keethy Suresh alongside Varun. The film reportedly revolves around a DCP who transforms and travels to a different place in order to safe guard his film.
Meanwhile, Varun had recently visited Lalbaughcha Raja in Mumbai with ‘VD 18’ producer Murad Khetani to seek blessings and one really hopes a blockbuster from this team.
The shooting has already begun. Meanwhile, apart from this film, Varun will be seen in the Indian version of ‘Citadel’ alongside Samantha Ruth Prabhu. It is created by Raj and DK. This spy thriller is packed with a lot of action as one saw Varun also getting injured and having some bruises during the shoot.
