Vicky Kaushal reveals when YRF approached him for Vijay Krishna Acharya’s next, he thought it is for ‘Dhoom 4’; says he would love to be a part of the action franchise – Times of India

Vicky Kaushal is currently awaiting the release of his next, ‘The great Indian Family‘. The film has been produced by Yash Raj Films and has been directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya.
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Vicky revealed that when he was approached by the banner and was told that the film will be helmed by Acharya, he immediately thought it would be ‘Dhoom 4‘.However, when he heard the script, he realised that it is not an action film, it is a family entertainer. He also shared that by the time the film ended, the narration ended, he was really affected by the film and the characters. According to him, he felt like it’s a fun yet important film, and he would love to just be a part of it.

When asked if he is still open to the idea of being a part of ‘Dhoom 4’, the actor said that it would be great if something like that really happens.

‘The Great Indian Family’ also stars Manushi Chhillar, Yashpal Sharma, Kumud Mishra, Manoj Pahwa and others. The film will hit the theatres on September 22, 2023.

Apart from this, Vicky will also be seen in Meghna Gulzar’s ‘Sam Bahadur’ where he will be seen essaying the role of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw. The film also features Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh in key roles. The film will be released on December 1, 2023.

The film will be locking horns with Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Animal’ starring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role. It also features Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles.
